Why Make a Bag?

When I started Arena it was only supposed to be a hat company. Well you know how it goes, you see a problem and want to fix it. Well at least that's how it is for me.

I started making hats at the end of 2025 and quickly learned that hats are very difficult. I'm working with a sewing machine that is cheap and gets the job done half the time. It's quite annoying.

In order to take my hat manufacturing to a level beyond side project I need a couple pieces of equipment. In order to get that equipment I need money. And some of that money is tied up in my house which I am currently selling. The market is slow.

Once the house sells and my family and I move I will then be freed up to get the necessary equipment and kick of production (phase 1).

Until then I have some extra time on my hands which is where the bag comes in.

As a young dad in his 30s I've always just carried a backpack everywhere. But I have realized it looks childish and I need to step into my 30s as a man.

There are so many bags on the market (see X post below) but there is also a gap. You see most bags are either leather and $600 or made in China. I need a bag that's not a 50 year old briefcase.

This is where the dream of The Bag was born.

A bag for myself. A bag that is professional, highly functional, durable and not $500.

A bag I can take the gym, a coffee shop to work and occasionally travel with.

The bag that replaces my backpack.

So long.
